Missouri City announces “Boo in the Run” event
Missouri City’s will transform one of its local parks into an evening of “spook-taculer” fun as the city makes preparations to host the second annual “Boo in the Run” event.
The community event will be held Oct. 25, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Buffalo Run Park, 1122 Buffalo Run, next to Thurgood Marshall High School in Missouri City.
The City invites young event goers to come dressed as their favorite costume character for an evening of family fun.
The event will include a candy trail, costume contest, dance performances, sand art and free candy bags for the first 2,000 trick-or-treaters under the age of 15.
"Last year's event was a huge success with over 3,000 people attending, and we are looking for another festive group this year,“" said Jennifer Sooy, recreation superintendent.
"The costume contest will begin at 6:30 p.m., so come early if you wish to be a part of that activity." Event goers are encouraged to bring cameras for photo opportunities and will be able to purchase through O'Henry's Catering.
Parking for event goers will be available at Marshall High School, next to the park, according to a city press release.
