In a subdivision still without power from hurricane Ike, tragedy strikes again.

Early Saturday morning the Pasadena fire department was called out to the 500 block of Shirleen Dr. in Taylor Lake Village.  Before arriving fire personnel saw heavy smoke and called for mutual aid from Seabrook and eventually Nassau Bay fire departments.

The fire was well involved when firefighters arrived and while one group of firefighters made entry into the house.  Pasadena used the large deck gun on the fire truck to blanket the house and garage with water which significantly consumed the fire and allowed firefighters safer and closer access to the rest of the structure.

The street as well as surrounding streets was still without power after hurricane Ike which just adds to the frustration to the residents.

One person was reportedly taken the hospital with minor burns.  No other injuries were reported.

Pasadena arson was on the scene as the cause is yet determined.
