Prairie View plans warrant round-up
PRAIRIE VIEW - The city of Prairie View is going to get tough on people who have outstanding traffic or municipal ordinance violations. The city will be conducting a warrant round-up beginning Oct. 1 through Dec. 31.
The round up will be spear-headed by the City of Prairie View Police Department. Outstanding warrants information will be provided to surrounding area law enforcement agencies, including the Waller County Sheriff’s Department, city of Hempstead, city of Waller, city of Brookshire, and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Persons who have unresolved traffic citations and/or municipal ordinance violations should contact the city of Prairie View municipal clerk’s office prior to Sept. 30 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, to voluntarily dispose of their cases and avoid the inconvenience and embarrassment of arrest at home or work.
Fine payments may be made voluntarily as follows:
* In person at the city of Prairie View municipal court office at 44480 U.S. Business Highway 290.
* By mail with money order or cashier’s check to P.O. Box 817, Prairie View, Texas 77446. To ensure proper payment application, include driver license number, case number and/or ticket number on money order or cashier’s check. Do not enclose cash.
* By telephone with credit card (MasterCard or Visa) call (936) 857-5327.
