Members of team Viva la Pink served up lemonade (pink, of course) at the Tour de Pink 2008. More than 2,200 riders had registered in advance of the event. Ideal weather Sunday brought out even more participants, officials said.
Presented by Compass Bank, Pink Ribbons Project’s 4th annual Tour de Pink fundraising bike ride had family-friendly 12-, 23-, 47, 63 and 100-mile routes. Proceeds and pledges benefit Pink Ribbons, which helps provide funds for breast-cancer awareness, education, screening and follow-up care for medically under-served women.
