Support group for people with spondylitis-related diseases forms

An educational support group for people with spondylitis is being offered to members of the community.

The group is for anyone who has ankylosing spondylitis or a related disease. Group topics will include self-help techniques, treatment options, the importance of exercise, pain management, and daily living tips. The purpose of the group is to provide educational and emotional support to those living with spondylitis. There is no charge to participate and spouses, family, and friends are invited to attend.

The spondylitis support group will hold its next meeting on Saturday September 13, 2008 from 10:00am – noon at St Luke’s Hospital - Conference Room - 1st Floor, located at 17200 St Luke’s Way in The Woodlands, TX. This month’s topic is “Ankylosing Spondylitis and Current Research Developments” with Ms Laura Diekman, Project Manager, University of Texas Health Science Center.
