Tomball Area Police Blotter for the week of Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008

Evading with a Vehicle:

On August 11, a Tomball Police Department sergeant arrested a 26-year-old Tomball man for Evading with a Motor Vehicle. At approximately 12:15 a.m., the sergeant attempted to stop the man’s vehicle in the intersection of Tomball Pkwy and Holderreith. The man continued to flee for several miles, coming to a stop in the 19700 block of Tomball Pkwy.

Theft:

On August 6, a Tomball Police Department officer responded to a reported theft in the 29800 block of Tomball Pkwy. Four tires and wheels were stolen from a vehicle for an estimated loss of $2,000.


On August 6, a Tomball Police Department officer responded to a reported theft in the 1000 Block of Village Square. A drop box containing several money orders and personal checks was broken into, and the securities were stolen.On August 8, a Tomball Police Department officer responded to a reported theft in the 1400 block of Keefer. Assorted bedding valued at approximately $330 was stolen.On August 11, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 32-year-old Houston woman for Theft. At approximately 1 p.m., the officer responded to a report of theft in the 27600 Block of Tomball Pkwy. Approximately $391.64 worth of merchandise was recovered by the arrest.On August 14, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 25-year-old Tomball woman for Theft. At approximately 9:47 p.m., the officer responded to a theft in the 28500 Block of Tomball Pkwy. Approximately $1,049.91 worth of DVD’s was recovered by the arrest.On August 11, a Tomball Police Department officer responded to a reported theft in the 900 Block of Rudolph. Approximately $15,000.00 worth of copper cable was stolen.On August 15, a Tomball Police Department officer responded to a reported theft in the 1000 Block of W. Main. A wallet valued at approximately $10.00 was stolen.Burglary:On July 24, a Tomball Police Department officer responded to a reported Suspicious Person in the 30100 block of Tomball Pkwy. Upon investigation, the officer discovered that the business had been burglarized four times in a two week period, and that approximately $3,000.00 in cash had been stolen.On August 7, a Tomball Police Department officer responded to a Burglary of a Building in the 27900 block of Tomball Pkwy. A generator valued at approximately $1,300 and power cords valued at approximately $50 were stolen.On August 15, a Tomball Police Department officer responded to a Burglary of a coin operated machine in the 1140 block of W. Main. An undetermined amount of cash was stolen from the machine.On August 16, a Tomball Police Department officer responded to a reported Burglary of a coin operated machine in the 100 block of Commerce. Approximately $20.00 was stolen from the machine, and approximately $300.00 worth of damage was inflicted on the machine.Narcotics Violations:On July 28, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 30-year-old Tomball man for Possession of Marijuana. At approximately 4:40 p.m., the officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Lovett. Upon initial contact, the officer observed the man drop a pipe, and during a search, the officer discovered marijuana in the vehicle.On July 29, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 28-year-old Tomball man for Possession of Marijuana. At approximately 8:11 p.m., the officer made contact with a suspicious person in the 500 block of Mechanic. During a pat search for safety, the officer discovered marijuana in the man’s pocket.On August 1, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 17-year-old Magnolia man for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft. At approximately 2:30 a.m., the officer arrested the man for theft in the 27600 block of Tomball Pkwy. During a search incident to arrest, the officer discovered Xanax in the man’s pocket.On August 6, a Tomball Police Department Officer arrested a 22-year-old Houston man for Possession of Marijuana. At approximately 12:30 p.m., the officer responded to a narcotics violation in the 600 block of W. Main. During a search, the officer discovered marijuana in the man’s vehicle.On August 6, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 17-year-old Tomball man for Possession of a Dangerous Drug. At approximately 1:05 p.m., the officer responded to a theft in the 27600 block of Tomball Pkwy. During a search incident to arrest, the officer discovered Soma in the man’s possession.On August 9, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 48-year-old Tomball woman and a 34-year-old Magnolia man for Possession of a Controlled Substance. At approximately 3:04 a.m., the officer made a traffic stop in the 100 block of S. Oak. Police Narcotic K-9 “Natan” alerted the officer to a narcotic odor emitting from the vehicle, and during a search, the officer discovered crack cocaine on the floorboard.On August 9, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 28-year-old Magnolia man and a 17-year-old Magnolia woman for Possession of a Controlled Substance. At approximately 11:33 p.m., the officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Ella. During a search incident to arrest, the officer discovered crack cocaine in the vehicle and cocaine in the woman’s possession.On August 11, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 23-year-old Pasadena woman and a 34-year-old Pasadena man for Possession of a Controlled Substance. At approximately 3:30 a.m., the officer arrested made contact with a suspicious vehicle in the 28600 block of Tomball Pkwy. During an owner consented search, officers discovered crack cocaine in the woman’s mouth and the interior of the vehicle.On August 12, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 31-year-old Katy man for Possession of Marijuana. At approximately 11:30 p.m., the officer conducted a traffic stop in the 30300 block of Tomball Pkwy. During an owner consented search, the officer discovered marijuana in the vehicle.Assault:On July 21, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 52-year-old Tomball man for Assault Family Violence. At approximately 1:10 a.m., the officer responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of Malone. Upon arrival, the officer observed the man assault his wife.On August 2, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 28-year-old Tomball man for Assault Family Violence. At approximately 2:07 a.m., the officer responded to an assault in the 1000 block of Misty Meadow Ct. Upon investigation, the officer discovered that the man had assaulted his girlfriend.On August 3, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 39-year-old Tomball man for Assault Family Violence. At approximately 7:32 p.m., the officer responded to a disturbance in the 29800 block of Tomball Pkwy. Upon investigation, Officer Welch discovered that Mr. Parker had assaulted his girlfriend.Prohibited Weapon:On July 30, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested an 18-year-old Spring man for Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. At approximately 1:22 a.m., the officer conducted a traffic stop in the 14300 Block of FM 2920. Upon questioning, the man advised officers that he had a pair of brass knuckles in his vehicle.Fictitious Inspection:On August 2, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 29-year-old Houston man for Fictitious Inspection. At approximately 1:47 a.m., the officer arrested the man for Public Intoxication in the 100 block of Ella, and during vehicle processing, the officer discovered that the man’s vehicle displayed a fictitious inspection sticker.Burglary of a Motor Vehicle:On July 30, a Tomball Police Department officer responded to a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle in the 28100 block of Tomball Pkwy. A purse, two wallets and cash were stolen for an approximate loss of $800.Driving While License Suspended or Invalid:On August 7, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 22-year-old Houston man for Driving While License Suspended in the 1000 Block of Village Square. At approximately 6:51 a.m., the officer conducted a traffic stop and discovered that the man’s driver’s license was suspended.On August 13, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 40-year-old Tomball man for Driving While License Suspended in the 300 block of N. Cherry. At approximately 3:45 p.m., the officer conducted a traffic stop and discovered that the man’s driver’s license was suspended.On August 16, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 46-year-old Magnolia man for Driving While License Suspended in the 800 Block of W. Main. At approximately 8:09 p.m., the officer conducted a traffic stop and discovered that the man’s driver’s license was suspended.Driving While Intoxicated:On August 6, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 20-year-old Houston woman for Driving While Intoxicated.On August 9, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 21-year-old Houston man for Driving While Intoxicated.On August 15, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 37-year-old Houston woman for Driving While Intoxicated.On August 15, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 29-year-old Tomball woman for Driving While Intoxicated.On August 15, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 39-year-old Houston man for Driving While Intoxicated.Reckless Driving:On August 14, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 17-year-old Lewis, Kansas man for Reckless Driving. At approximately 5:50 p.m., the officer responded to a reported reckless driver in the 500 Block of W. Main. The officer conducted a traffic stop in the 15200 block of FM 2920, and the man was arrested without incident.Unlawful Carry of a Weapon:On August 6, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 38-year-old Tomball man for Unlawful Carry of a Weapon. At approximately 9 p.m., the officer responded to a report of suspicious persons in the 100 block of Howard. During initial contact, the officer observed a handgun in plain view in the man’s hand.Criminal Mischief:On August 7, a Tomball Police Department officer arrested a 24-year-old Hockley man for Criminal Mischief. At approximately 10:42 p.m., the officer responded to a reported assault in the 900 block of Lawrence, and upon investigation, he discovered that no assault had occurred but that the man had damaged the victim’s computer.
