| Sarah Temperilli has been a big part of the Lady Cougars success early this season and has stepped up offensively. |
It's the biggest tournament in the state. Seventy-six high school volleyball teams showed up for Pearland's annual three-day tournament and Tomball was one of them and they let everyone know they were there.
The Lady Cougars opened up against A&M Consolidated, Aug. 28, and won 26-24,25-22 with Sarah Temperilli leading with seven kills and Jackie Stabell adding five. The team defeated Dobie 25-18, 25-17 with Stabell leading with seven kills.
Despite losing its final game of the opening day, Tomball had plenty to be happy about after taking state ranked #4 Churchill to the wire with a 25-21, 24-26, 25-15 loss. Stabell led with 11 kills and Taylor Hammonds had eight. The team played without setter Kim Jeffrey due to an injury.
