Updated: 08.29.08
On July 30, Harris County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a business near the 500 block of Rankin Road in unincorporated Humble to investigate the burglary of a vehicle. The investigation revealed that someone had broken into the vehicle several days before and had taken a Shell gas card.

Further investigation revealed that the thief and others involved with them used the credit card to make unauthorized diesel fuel purchases at several Shell stations across the Houston area. The total of unauthorized purchases is more than $32,000.

One suspect was caught on surveillance video. He is a black male, about 5-foot-11, weighing 150-170 pounds, with short black hair. He was wearing a bluish-gray T-shirt with a patch on the left chest and light-colored pants.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information called in to the 713-222-8477 tips hotline that leads to the identification, arrest and charging of any suspect in this case. All callers remain anonymous
