| Article: | Sheriff’s Officer reports recent arrests in northwest Harris County On August 6, 2008, Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy R. Cockerham was dispatched to the Randall’s Grocery Store located at 5219 W. F.M. 1960 in reference to an Aggravated Robbery. Deputy Cockerham met with the store supervisor who stated that the suspect was confronted by the store security guard as the suspect exited the store with stolen merchandise. The suspect, later identified as 23-year-old Lester Samuel, was known as a possible suspect in previous thefts. When Samuel was confronted, he displayed a fire arm and told the security guard to “back off”. Deputy Cockerham arranged a photo line up and Samuel was positively identified. A warrant was issued for Samuel’s arrest. On August 9, 2008, Deputy C. Cook was responding to a call in the 5050 block of W. F.M. 1960 when he observed a man walking in the middle of the roadway. Deputy Cook stopped the man and asked for his name. He identified himself as Lester Samuel. Deputy Cook ran a computer check and discovered the warrant for Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. Samuel was arrested for the warrant and is currently held in the Harris County Jail on a $30,000.00 bond awaiting his next court appearance on September 5, 2008. |
