Former Splendora Lady Wildcat standout pitcher Stephanie Loge has signed a letter of intent to play softball for the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners beginning with the Fall 2008 season.
A new athletic program at Angelina College, the Lady Roadrunners will launch their inaugural season with their first fall game on Sept. 6 at Navarro.
Loge racked up the honors for the Lady Wildcats, making several state lists during her career: 2nd Team All State in 2006 and 2008, and Honorable Mention in 2007. Loge was also a two-time District MVP recipient, helping Splendora make the post-season in 2008.
“I felt it would be such a great experience to help build a program from the beginning,” Loge said. “It’s a great feeling to know I might be able to help start something special here.”
Of her new pitcher, Vega said, “Stephanie came here with a lot of praise from some very knowledgeable softball people. She’ll be a very important part of putting this team together.”
Angelina College, members of the NJCAA’s Region XIV, will begin conference play in March 2009.
