Lady Oilers win NIKE tournament opener
Pearland defeated Alvin, 25-13, 25-10 in its first match Thursday in the NIKE Volleyball Classic, which the Lady Oilers are hosting.
Pearland was led by Malorie Pardo’s seven kills.
The Lady Oilers (10-5) play Richland and New Braunfels later Thursday.
Friendswood defeated Stony Point and Mayde Creek in its first two matches before falling to Clear Creek in its third match.
