Patrons offer wine, song
Patrons for Bellaire Parks will be holding a wine-and-tapas-tasting — complete with music and dance — Saturday night to help fund the next phase of the Bellaire Town Square project.
The event will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Gatherings in Bellaire, 5206 Bissonnet St. and is open to the public.
Food and wine are being provided by Oporto Café, and entertainment will be by a Brazilian guitarist-vocalist and the Barbara King Dancers.
Tickets cost $25 a person and may be obtained by calling 713-661-7275. Because of underwriting, all proceeds will go directly to Town Square’s next phase, construction of a playground.
Underwriters are the Bellaire Examiner, Sion Saghian of Gatherings, Lynne Skinner, Kathy and Kevin Biddle and the Bellaire MENS Club/Battle of the Bands.
