Field Hockey

The Woodlands Girls Field Hockey Club encourages girls in grades seven through 12 to be involved in a team sport that offers team spirit, camaraderie, excitement, fast-paced action and friendship. If you are attending any Conroe ISD school and also need to fulfill school P.E. credits for graduation, this is where you need to be.

The Woodlands Girls Field Hockey Club offers both beginners and those familiar with the sport the opportunity to participate in either a junior varsity or varsity position. This is a fall sport and games are played August through October. For more information on this unique sport, and to learn about upcoming summer clinics, please visit the website, www.twhsfieldhockey.com, the National Field Hockey Association site, www.usfieldhockey.com, or contact coach Sandy Straup at sstraup@conroeisd.net.

TWST Meeting

The Woodlands Swim Team new swimmer/parent orientation meeting is scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m. in the WAC’s upstairs lounge.

Swimmers may come prepared for swim practice (swimsuit, goggles) in the WAC indoor pool at 5:45 p.m. This will give your swimmer the opportunity to meet some of the TWST coaches and a chance for the coaches to evaluate your swimmer for swim group placement. Each swimmer is given a two-week free trial period before committing to the TWST program.

The parents will meet in the upstairs lounge at 6 p.m. TWST head coach Tim Bauer and head age group coach Shana Trabona will talk about the team, hand out information and forms and answer any questions you might have.

TWST encourages parents and swimmers to attend the meeting. However, if you are unable to attend, you may leave your phone number and e-mail address at the front desk of the WAC (281-863-1500) and a TWST membership representative will contact you to answer any questions you may have regarding membership with The Woodlands Swim Team. For additional information, visit the TWST website at www.woodlandsswimming.org.
