Burglary of vehicles:

On July 31 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District 4 deputy was dispatched to Deepwood for a burglary report. The deputy met with the complainant who stated that sometime between 5:30 p.m. on July 30 and 8 a.m. on July 31 someone had entered his work truck, owned by Tex-Dot, and stolen a Nikon Digital Camera and a Razor cell phone. Total cost to replace the stolen items estimated at $500. Case was referred to detectives.

On Aug. 1 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District 4 deputy was dispatched to Belle Court in reference to the burglary of a vehicle. The deputy met with the complainant who stated when he woke up this morning he found his tool box open on his truck. He then realized that someone had taken items from his unlocked tool box and also from the truck. The stolen items included Makita tools, a Wagner airless paint gun, and half-inch drill with paddle for a total dollar loss of $607. This case was referred to detectives.

On Aug. 1 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District 4 deputy was dispatched to Oakwood subdivision in reference to burglary of a motor vehicle. The deputy met with the complainant who stated when he was leaving for work he discovered three of the four tool boxes in the bed of his truck were open and several items were missing out of the tool boxes and also from the bed of the truck. Various tools were stolen along with a gas can for a total loss of $580. This case was referred to the detectives.

On Aug. 2 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District 4 deputy was dispatched to Walnut Creek Road near Magnolia in reference to the burglary of a building. The deputy met with the complainant who stated he noticed that his locked tool shed had been broken into. The latch was broken and various tools and a gas can were missing. Total dollar less estimated at $1,268. The case was referred to detectives.

On Aug. 4 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District 4 deputy was dispatched to Community Road in reference to burglary of a motor vehicle and a past theft. The deputy met with the complainant who stated someone had removed his 2006 Hefty gooseneck trailer and had removed a tool box containing various items from the back of a Mack truck parked in the pasture, and damaged the right front quarter panel on the 1989 Mack truck. Estimated dollar loss of the stolen trailer is $10,000; $1,900 for the stolen tools; and $200 for damage to the Mack truck. This case was referred to auto theft task force.

Criminal mischief:

On July 31 two Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District 4 deputies were dispatched to Diamond Oaks in reference to a past criminal mischief. The deputies met with the complainant who provided them with a voluntary statement and a suspect’s name. The deputies also took photos of the scene. The film will be submitted as evidence to the MCSO crime lab. Total estimate of damages is approximately $1,500. This case was referred to detectives for follow-up.

On Aug. 4 two Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District 4 deputies were dispatched to north Hall Drive in reference to a past criminal mischief. The deputies met with the complainant who stated that sometime on Aug. 4 an unknown actor came onto her property and attempted to make forced entry into her residence. Entry was not achieved but the door was damaged by extensive kicking and the door knob was ripped off. Estimated cost to replace the door and knob is $350. This case was referred to detectives for follow-up.

Disturbance: One July 30 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District 4 deputy was dispatched to S. Creek Street in Magnolia regarding a disturbance. The deputy met with the complainant who advised that the suspect had entered the unlocked front door, attacked him, damaged some furniture and broke several panes in the 4’x6’ window. Total estimate of damages is $300. The deputy took statements, photos, and issued a case number. This case will be referred to detectives. Hit and run:On July 29 two Magnolia Police Department officers went to the 32000 block of Nichols Sawmill Road to investigate a reported hit and run auto/pedestrian accident. The officers located an injured man, 30, of Magnolia and he was taken by an emergency medical service to Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital. A witness followed the vehicle involved in the accident to the 22000 block of Rainfern where a Montgomery County Pct. 5 deputy stated with the driver until the MPD officers arrived. The driver, a man, 35, of Magnolia was interviewed and it was determined the hit and run was an accidental occurrence. Charges were refused by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office. The report was cleared. Major accident:On Aug. 2 two Magnolia Police Department officers went to the 18700 block of FM 1488 in response to a call of a major motor vehicle accident. A woman, 64, of Waller was driving a 2004 Honda Accord and attempted to cross from Commerce Street and turn northbound on to FM 1488. She failed to yield right-of-way and struck a Toyota Camry divine by a woman, 44, of Hockley. The Hockely woman was taken by Montgomery County Hospital District Emergency Medical Services to Tomball Regional Hospital. Both vehicles were towed. Possession:On Aug. 1 two Magnolia Police Department officers responded to a call of a disturbance in progress and were informed the suspect left the scene in a four-door vehicle. The officers observed the vehicle traveling in the 18600 block of FM 1488 and stopped it. The driver, a woman, 27, of Plantersville was contacted and the officer observed the passenger making furtive movements. The passenger, a man, 28, of Plantersville was charged with possession of a controlled substance, less than four grams, after the officer found nine capsules of Prosixulim underneath his seat, the right front passenger seat. He was taken to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe and the driver was released at the scene after being issued a citation for no valid driver’s license. Theft:On July 24 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District 4 deputy was dispatched to Dobbin Hufsmith Road for a theft report. The complainant stated that sometime during the night someone had stolen both back wheels and tires from her 2007 Dodge Charger that was parked in her driveway directly in front of her home. Estimated value of the stolen items is $1,000. This case was referred to detectives. On July 19 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District 4 deputy was dispatched to Pine Bark Lane in reference to a theft. The complainant stated that when he arrived home from work he discovered his riding lawn mower was missing. The chain that had secured the lawn mower to a 4”x4” post on the carport had been cut. The lawnmower values was stated as $1,079; it was reported to be 3-months-old. This case was referred to detectives. Theft of a motor vehicle:July 22 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department District 4 deputy was dispatched to Walnut Springs Drive in reference to the theft of a motor vehicle. The deputy met with the complainant who said a four wheeler (parked under his carport) had been stolen during the nighttime hours. Estimated value of the vehicle is $2,500. The case was referred to the Auto Theft Task Force. Warrant arrests:On July 22 two Magnolia Police Department officers stopped a vehicle in the 3100 block of Brady Street in the Timberbrook subdivision after witnessing the driver speeding on Nichols Sawmill Road. The driver, a woman, 46, of Hockley was found to have an outstanding warrant for theft in Montgomery County. She was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe. On July 27 a Magnolia Police Department officer observed a woman in the 100 block of Commerce Street. The officer knew the woman was wanted for an outstanding warrant in Montgomery County for an active motion to revoke parole. The officer called another officer to the scene and the woman’s identity was verified. The woman was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe. On July 30 a Magnolia Police Department officer stopped a vehicle for an expired registration sticker in the 200 block of Magnolia Boulevard. When the officer ran a routine check on the driver, a man, 35, of Pinehurst, it was discovered he had an outstanding warrant in Montgomery County for tampering with evidence. The driver was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe. On Aug. 2 two Magnolia Police Department officer stopped a vehicle in the 18000 block of Buddy Riley Boulevard for an unreadable license plate – some of the numbers were damaged. The driver was found to have an outstanding warrant in Montgomery County for assault, family violence. The driver, a man, 42, of Montgomery was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe. The vehicle was released to the man’s 19-year-old son who was a passenger at the time of the stop.On Aug. 2 two Magnolia Police Department officers stopped a vehicle for no license plate in the 18100 block of Buddy Riley Boulevard. The driver, a man, 35, of Magnolia, had no driver’s license and four outstanding warrants in Montgomery County. The man was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe and his car was released to a friend at the scene.
