Go Green with Dynamo this Saturday
Houston-area fans are invited to Grow Green with the Dynamo for the Houston Dynamo’s Saturday, August 16 match against Real Salt Lake.
The first 5,000 fans through the gates at Robertson Stadium for the 7:30 p.m. kickoff will receive a free re-usable grocery bag, courtesy of H-E-B. The Dynamo will also be unveiling various eco-friendly initiatives for the game, including placing Waste Management recycling bins throughout the stadium.
Fans can purchase special Grow Green tickets online at houstondynamo.com/green, and $10 of the $20 ticket price will go directly to Trees For Houston, a non-profit organization dedicated to planting trees in the Houston area. On November 10, the Dynamo will partner with Trees For Houston and H-E-B to plant trees at J.P. Henderson Elementary School, located near the site of the Dynamo’s proposed downtown stadium.
The match will be between the top two teams in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer. First-place Real Salt Lake currently leads Houston by one point in the standings, although the Dynamo have played one less game.
The Houston Dynamo, two-time defending MLS Cup champions, have three more home games this month on August 16, 20, and 31. For more information or for tickets, call (713) 276-7500 or log on to www.HoustonDynamo.com.
