Last weeks “Big Brother 10” included harsh words from Magnolia resident Gerald “Jerry” MacDonald and ended with a tense eviction round that ended up sending a nearby Spring resident home to her family.

The Sunday, Aug. 10 episode of “Big Brother 10” started with a blow-up after last week’s eviction of bodybuilder Jessie Godderz, 22, from Huntington Beach, Calif.

His friend, Michelle Costa, 28, a real estate agent from Cumberland, R.I., won Head of Household and cried over Godderz’s eviction. She and her alliance, including Magnolia resident Jerry MacDonald, 75, blamed Catholic school teacher Dan Gheesling, 24, from Dearborn, Mich.

Gheesling’s vote ended up being the vote that got Godderz evicted from the CBS studio household. As America’s Player, Gheesling was tasked by the reality show’s television viewers to get the bodybuilder evicted.

His America’s Player status unknown to the rest of the cast, MacDonald accused Gheesling of betrayal.

“Dan disrespected me,” MacDonald said, adding that the Catholic school teacher was “hiding behind his cross.”

At one point MacDonald screamed out “screw you people,” referring to Gheesling and the others who voted to evict Godderz. Latter in the show, MacDonald referred to Gheesling as a “Judas” - the man whom the Bible says betrayed Jesus Christ which ended up with his death on the cross.

It seemed the new HoH was going to target Gheesling in revenge of his vote to get Godderz evicted, but Robert "Memphis" Garrett, 25, the mixologist and party planner from Los Angeles who was also up for eviction last week, convinced Costa from putting him on the chopping block saying it was wrong to bring Gheesling’s religion into the game.

“Where I come from that would get someone punched in the mouth,” Garrett said.

The remaining house contestants went on to play a food game against past personalities from the reality series. In a game show format, the current house contestants were asked if headlines actually occurred while they have been sequestered in the studio.

MacDonald challenged season four’s blond beauty, Janelle Pierzina. MacDonald was asked if it was true or false that last week’s kick-out, Godderz, was offered a photo cover of a men’s fitness magazine. MacDonald said yes. The headline was in fact false. MacDonald’s answer resulted in Pierzina winning a $1,000 and the current house receiving slop to eat.

Costa ended up nominating Spring resident Libra Thompson, a 31-year-old human resources representative, and Keesha Smith, 29, a waitress from Burbank, Calif. for eviction.

In the Aug. 12 episode, MacDonald won the week’s Power of Veto. Instead of using that power to put his own personal “Judas,” Catholic school teacher Gheesling, ton eviction notice, he kept his word to the current head of the house.

MacDonald beat out his housemates to win the POV during a massive onion chopping contest. Contestants were tasked with chopping as many onions as they could and stuffing the onions into boxes designated for each player - one labeled with a question mark and one that could grant the POV.

Which ever contestant chopped and stuffed their boxes with the most onions - the one with the boxes that weighed the most - would either win the POV or a mystery prize.

MacDonald’s POV box weighed the most giving him the ability to veto HoH Costa’s eviction nominees, Thompson, and Smith.

During the live eviction episode on Aug. 14, the residents unanimously voted to send the Spring resident home.

“BB10” airs on KHOU Channel 11, CBS, in the greater Houston area.
