A routine traffic stop for a broken brake light in Missouri City resulted in the arrest of a man for an outstanding warrant in Houston and the discovery of several stolen items in his vehicle.

Missouri City police pulled the vehicle over and conducted a search after smelling marijuana. During the search the officer discovered several Sim cards, 18 T-Mobile regular cell phones and three camera cell phones in the vehicle, per Capt. John Bailey of the Missouri City Police Department.

The suspect told police he found the products on the ground at an area Valero gas station, per the police report.

The man was arrested for a warrant out of Harris County and taken into custody.

Missouri City police are contacting area T-Mobile store personnel to determine any missing inventory as a part of an ongoing investigation into the incident.
