CLC All-Star baseball camp, plus football, tennis and soccer

CLC All-Star Baseball Camp

Clear Lake Christian School will hold its All-Star Baseball Camp Aug. 4-6.

The camp is for boys and girls ages 5-18. Cost of camp is $75. On site registration fee on Aug. 4 will be $85.

Former major league pitcher Gilbert Landestoy will be the special guest at the camp. In addition several former Eagles players will help with the camp.


Landestoy was drafted by the Anaheim Angels in 2000 and played in their farm system.

Eagles head baseball coach Tim Dagley will be camp director. Dagley is a former pitcher for the Arizona State Sun Devils.

Dad’s Field will be the site of the camp from 9 a.m. until noon.

Check-in time for all campers is 7:30-9 a.m. in the school’s gym on Aug. 4.

Space City Soccer Camps

SCFC has one summer soccer camp remaining on its schedule.

The camp is open to ages 4-16 at all skill levels.

The third camp will be Aug. 11-14 at Centennial Park in Friendswood from 9-11 a.m.

Windemere Tennis Camp

Windemere Racquet & Swim Club is holding its tennis camp each Monday through Thursday during the summer.

The camp will be for ages 5-15 from beginners to advanced intermediates. Camp times will be 9 a.m. until noon.

Cost is $109 with discounts available. Prizes, awards and daily lunch are included.

Sports QuestSoccer Camps

Sports Quest, a professional Christian soccer training organization, will be holding an extensive soccer program this summer. The camps will run through Aug. 8.

Boys and girls ages 5-14 will receive five days of soccer instruction (3 hours a day) from licensed soccer trainers throughout the Houston region.

Bay Area Kings U13 free boys hoops

The Bay Area Kings U13 team will host two free summer basketball camps.

The first camp ended. The second camp will be the first week of August.

The camp will be Monday and Wednesday nights from 8 p.m. until 9:20 p.m.

Creek Wildcat Football Camp

The Clear Creek High Wildcat Football Camp and Skills Camp will be held Aug. 4-7 at the school.

The football camp for incoming grades 2-8 will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Pre-registration is $75. Walk-up registration will be $85.

The football skills camp is for incoming 9th graders and will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Registration is $50.

San Jacinto basketball camp

Scott Gernander, head basketball coach at San Jacinto College, will conduct the Annual Raven Basketball Camp for boys and girls ages 7-18.

The camp has one more session remaining.

Session II will be July 28-Aug. 1, from 2-5 p.m.

Camp cost is $90 per session. The cost for both sessions is $160.
