A summary of reports to Memorial Villages Police Dept. in recent days.

July 17

A builder in the 800 block of Kuhlman reported to MVPD that at about 1 p.m. a Hispanic male in a white truck entered the construction site and took 19 sheets of plywood valued at approximately $500.

July 18


An MVPD officer initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of Gessner for an expired inspection sticker. The male driver, a Houston resident was arrested for traffic warrants through the Harris County Pct. 5 Constable's Office.

July 19

At approximately 2:45 a.m., an MVPD officer initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of Gessner for speeding. The male driver, a Houston resident, was arrested for no driver's license and no insurance.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., an MVPD officer observed a vehicle parked in the 800 block of Creekwood with a broken driver's window. Contact was made with the owner and it was determined the window was broken by an unknown person sometime after midnight. Nothing was missing from the vehicle.

July 21

An MVPD officer initiated a traffic stop in the 800 block of Voss for an expired inspection sticker. The male driver, a Houston resident, was arrested for traffic warrants through the Harris Count Pct. 5 Constable's Office.

A builder in the 1200 block of River Bend reported that sometime between 3 p.m. July 19 and 9 a.m. July 21 someone entered the locked gate and stole 180 sheets of plywood valued at $2,600.

A resident in the 11300 block of Piney Point Circle told MVPD several unauthorized accounts had been opened in Los Angeles following the resident's recent visit to that area.

July 21

At approximately 11 p.m., an MVPD officer made several arrests arising from a fight between two males in the 700 block of Piney Point by a parked car. A Houston man was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants through Hunters Creek Village. Another Houston resident was cited for disorderly conduct and minor in possession of tobacco. A Hunters Creek resident was cited for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. A second Houston juvenile was cited for minor in possession of tobacco and alcohol.

July 23

At approximately 10 p.m., MVPD officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Kuhlman to investigate a suspicious female knocking on doors. Upon arrival, officer found a vehicle parked in the roadway on Kuhlman and an intoxicated woman wandering around the neighborhood. The Houston woman was arrested for public intoxication. The vehicle was impounded.

July 24

At approximately 2 p.m. a high school student who lives in the 200 block of Hedwig reported a robbery. He told MVPD he was home alone when he answered a knock at the front door. He was confronted by a Hispanic male with a pistol who pushed him into the residence. The student reported that two black males also entered and ransacked the residence while the student was held in a room. The robbers got away with computer equipment, cash and jewelry. The student was not harmed in the robbery.
