Gerald “Jerry” MacDonald, of Magnolia, appeared to be in the clear, flying under the radar, in the “Big Brother 10” house on July 29, until Robert “Memphis” Garrett, 25, challenged the 75-year-old former marine and oldest “Big Brother” contestant, ever.

Garrett, a mixologist/party planner from Los Angeles, started yelling at MacDonald, who was in the Head of Household room visiting, California waitress Keesha Smith, the first female HoH of the season. Garrett said MacDonald called him a womanizer, which MacDonald agreed he did. But Garrett continued yelling, calling MacDonald out, with what quickly became a heated altercation on the party planner’s part until Bryan Ollie, 27, a marketing sales representative from Bloomington, Minn. pulled Garrett out of the room. During the exchange, MacDonald remained seated and calm, never raising his voice.

Other highlights of Episode 8 included a Veto Competition that had participants dressed like flowers, endure a planter box full of dirt, worms and food compost while water dripped on their foreheads. MacDonald was an observer of the competition, having not been chosen by Smith or one of the two veto nominees — Jessie Godderz, 22, a California bodybuilder or Angie Swindell, 29, a pharmaceutical sales representative from Orlando, Fla. — to play.

Tune in to CBS, Channel 11 in the Houston area, on Thursday, July 31, to see who will be the next member of the Big Brother household to be evicted.
