From the files of the Pearland Police Department, July 14 to July 20, 2008.
Burglary of a Vehicle
July 14 – A woman’s purse was stolen from her vehicle in the 3200 block of Mclean. No forced entry was made.
July 14 – A suspect entered a vehicle in the 4900 block of Northfork and took a book bag and purse.
July 15 – A vehicle was burglarized in the 2100 block of Scarsdale Boulevard. The vehicle was a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer and white in color. A black purse was removed, which contained the victim’s social security card and credit cards.
July 17 – A GPS device was stolen out of a vehicle located in the 2400 block of Alvin.
July 17 – A suspect entered the complainant’s Jeep in the 2100 block of Austin and removed a satellite receiver from the dashboard.
Escape
July 14 – A suspect already in custody on a burglary charge escaped from the jail phone room through a ceiling tile. The suspect was later caught hiding in the ceiling. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of Veterans.
Runaway/Missing Person
July 14 – A known juvenile ran away from his home in the 3800 block of Austin Lake on foot after returning from Intercare Hospital.
July 17 – A known juvenile left her home in the 1900 block of Prairie Creek without her parents’ permission.
Burglary of a Building
July 14 – A suspect burglarized a residence under construction in the 1400 block of Laurel Leaf, between July 12 and July 14. Entry was likely made through the garage door via electronic keypad.
July 17 – Sixteen spools of copper wire were missing from an apartment complex in the 11200 block of Broadway.
July 18 – A suspect entered a home under construction in the 3000 block of Birch Landing, stealing electric wiring and air conditioning copper.
July 18 – A suspect entered a home under construction in the 3100 block of Mason Grove, stealing electric wiring and air conditioning copper.
Theft
July 14 – A suspect removed three IPods from a residence in the 3900 block of Travis Lake between July 2 and July 13. The victims reported that three known suspects were inside the residence during this time.
July 16 – A reportee left his garage door open in the 4100 block of Tawakon and found that his vehicles had been ransacked, IPod and flash drive both taken. A Schwinn bike was taken from the garage.
July 17 – A suspect took the front door of a home under construction in the 12800 block of Southern Manor.
July 17 – A known suspect stole a Playstation 3 and three games from a residence in the 2700 block of Autumn Falls Drive.
July 18 – A suspect took a Haro bicycle from a home in the 3000 block of Davey Oaks. The suspect(s) left behind two Roadmaster bikes which were placed into property and evidence.
July 19 – Suspects siphoned gasoline from a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the victim’s home, located in the 3400 block of Blue Spruce.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
July 16 – A known suspect was found to be in possession of a marijuana grinder on Southfork.
Tampering with Government
July 17 – A known suspect turned himself into police on and outstanding warrant for an alias identity. The investigation revealed the suspect tampered with governmental records by signing a fictitious name.
Criminal Mischief
July 17 – Suspects drove to the complainant’s home in the 3000 block of Centennial Drive and threw eggs and other food items at the victim’s car. All the suspects admitted to the offense and will be charged.
Burglary Attempt
July 17 – A male suspect attempted to burglarize a home in the 13000 block of Castlewind. The suspect fled in a white Chevrolet Impala bearing a temporary license plate, accompanied by a male passenger.
Possession of Marijuana
July 19 – Four known juvenile boys were stopped driving a known stolen vehicle in the 3700 block of Main. The boys were found to be in possession of marijuana.
