Graduates from the class of 1978, Deer Park High School, are invited to the 30th Anniversary Reunion on Saturday, Oct. 25.
There will be dinner and entertainment at 7 p.m. at the San Luis Hotel, 5222 Seawall Blvd. in Galveston, along with sharing a lot of good memories and updates.

Turtle puzzle picture frame craft
The upcoming Summer Craft Class “Turtle Puzzle Picture Frame,” will be presented at La Porte Community Library on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at 2 p.m. This challenging craft is designed for older school age children.

Legion holding jam sessions
South Houston Post 490, The American Legion, will be holding jam sessions every Friday evening in the Post clubroom.
The entertainment manager is asking all musicians (members and non-members) to come by for a night of fun and entertainment.

American Legion Post 490 is across the street from Ellington Joint Reserve Base (JBR) where it is now the largest American Legion Post in the Houston area and the second largest post in Texas.
Post 490 serves active duty, National Guard and Reserve forces and all veterans in the Southeast Houston, South Houston, Ellington JRB, the South Belt, Pasadena and the Clear Lake area.
