Splendora woman charged with murder in nephew’s stabbing

Jeffrey Rogers was transported by Montgomery County EMS ground ambulance from Pin Oak Drive in Splendora to Kingwood Regional Medical Center with CPR in progress due to multiple stab wounds. He was later pronounced dead and inquest was conducted by Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace James Metts, who ordered the body transported by Metcalf Funeral Directors to the Southeast Texas Forensic Center in Conroe for autopsy.
MCSO Lt. Bill Bucks said alcohol was involved in the incident and drugs were suspected. Three children were on the scene at the time of the stabbing. They ranged in age from two years old to about eight years old and belonged to Dena Rogers, Bucks said.
No bond was set for Dena Rogers as of Wednesday afternoon.

CherokeeToo made a good point about repeat offenders not answering for crimes, and the effect they have on society and the family around them. (But I would skip the name calling.) Would like to see an article on this topic, rather than "a Montgomery man owns a fix it shop" (news today). The Courier is weak when it come to reporting on crime by their own officials, in my opinion. "
