Will your house be ‘party central’ for National Night Out?

By VANESA BRASHIER
Updated: 07.23.08
Where will you be on Aug. 5? On that date, the City of Cleveland will participate in National Night Out, a community-building campaign that is designed to increase crime prevention awareness, build neighborhood networks and promote good relationships between law enforcement and citizens.

Residents of Cleveland are encouraged to join with their neighbors to host neighborhood block parties, cookouts, youth events, and visits from police officers.

If you are planning such an event, we want to hear from you. Your party could actually be featured in the Cleveland Advocate and on our website, www.clevelandadvocate.com.

Send information on your event to Advocate editor, Vanesa Brashier, by e-mailing vbrashier@hcnonline.com or by calling 281-592-2626.
